
A training program on sustainable tourism is currently underway at the Bamiyan Cultural Center, organized by LaGeS in collaboration with Bamiyan University, to address the challenges posed to the safeguarding of cultural heritage and landscapes by the increase in visitor flows to the Bamiyan Valley (UNESCO site) and the Band-e Amir natural park. The program, which will conclude on May 31, 2025, is aimed at students and professionals in the sector, with the goal of raising awareness of the opportunities and risks of tourism development, as well as stimulating initiatives and proposals for the sustainable enhancement of resources. The program involves 30 students from Bamiyan University and 30 representatives from civil society, including 17 women.
